Oceanwide plays a big role for Ørsted in Borssele 1&2

oktober 29, 2020

On November 23 Ørsted will launch The Netherlands’ largest offshore windfarm: Borssele 1 & 2. This park, consisting of 94 Siemens Gamesa monopiles, will provide enough energy for about one million Dutch households.

As you may know, Oceanwide plays a big role for Ørsted in this project too. Our job was to recruit the wind technicians who will service the turbines year round. They have already started their training and education earlier this year, so they are fully trained once the park is commissioned. Part of their training takes place at WindDock. Check out our earlier posts to see the faces of our new wind technicians!

Did you want to apply as a wind technician for Ørsted but were you too late? Not to worry, in spring 2021 we will start a new round of recruitment for a third and final team of wind technicians!

You can stay up to date with all our other vacancies via www.oceanwidecrew.com.

The inauguration of the Borssele Offshore Wind Farm can be followed on November 23 from 13:30 to 17:30 CET online through inaugurationborssele.com.
